Hi, my name is James Nelson and I am 10 years old, a resident of Lumberport, WV and in the third
grade. I race dirt track cars in the Mini-Wedge Division at Elkins Motor Speedway and Mountain State Motor
Speedway in Weston, WV.
My favorite Nascar driver is Tony Stewart. I enjoy spending time with
my family, my love for Karate, I am currently a blue belt, I raise and train beagle dogs for UKC competition, traveling to
different states to compete, and most of all, racing and spending time with my racing idol, my Uncle Mike Murphy.
I help support my hobbies by mowing grass and pressure washing houses. I spend my summer months back in Pocahontas County
with my Pap and MeMaw Murphy helping them around the restaurant, motel and campground. I also help Uncle Mike and Aunt
Karen on their farm and around Uncle Mike's Body Shop and car lot. Uncle Mike always has patience to answer my questions
that I have about racing. My other racing idols take time to answer my questions also. These drivers are
Robbie Scott, Dusty Hamrick, Garrett Paugh, Elliott Newlon, Zack Kimbrew, Mark, Josh and Tina Richards.
